  • Speeding up injury recovery
  • Increase or decrease in muscle tone
  • Increase or decrease in muscle length

Those who benefit from sports massage are not just sports performers. Acupuncture

I primarily use a combination of acupuncture/electroacupuncture with other bodywork treatments such as massage, cupping, moxibustion, Korean Guasha and taping for treating both chronic and acute musculoskeletal conditions.

This will be a focused treatment on the area of the body with the issue or injury.

Acupuncture is the insertion of very fine needles into the skin.

Acupuncture may be used in the treatment of a multitude of issues including:

  • Chronic pain
  • Acute pain
  • Sports injuries
  • Neck issues
  • Back pain
  • Shoulder pain/issues
  • Elbow/wrist pain
  • Hip/groin issues
  • Leg, knee, ankle issues
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Tennis/golfers elbow

Other Treatments

Muscle Taping is great for sports injuries and other muscle injuries. The tape applied to the damaged muscle to support it and strengthen it which recovery takes place.

The tape lifts the muscle allowing blood and lymph to flow smoothly, reducing pain, speeding recovery times and enhancing performance.

I provide taping as part of your massage if needed, or as a treatment on its own. Prices vary according to the size and number of areas that require treating.

Moxibustion is the application of the herb Mugwort to the points on the skin which is then heated to cause reaction.

Cupping is a technique that employs the use of suction cups on certain areas of the body to elicit healing response from the body.

These techniques are normally used in conjunction with other treatments such as massage or acupuncture to maximise healing.

Why Wirral Sports Massage?

I am constantly striving to improve my services and treatments to provide the best for my clients and patients.

I have worked hard to obtain the right qualifications and training for my clinic. Many people fail to check the qualifications and experience of the practitioners that they visit.

I spent eight months obtaining my Level 4 Massage qualification and three years acquiring my Degree in Acupuncture, all to give me the best foundation for my treatments. On top of this I have gained other qualifications in Taping, Guasha, Cupping and have attended CPD courses in other therapies.

I am a member of two professional bodies – the Sports Massage Association and the British Acupuncture Council. These bodies require their members to uphold strict professional and ethical standards and guidelines giving peace of mind to my patients and those of other members.
